Couscous pudding
Today I tried out a basic couscous pudding. It is readily adaptable into a plant-based variant.
Ingredients
- Evaporated milk, 1 cup
- Turbinado sugar, 2 tbsp
- Couscous (dry), 1 cup
- Butter (optional), 2 tbsp
- Vanilla (optional), 1/2 tsp
- Salt (optional), a pinch
Instructions
- Heat milk and sugar in a pot.
- Add butter and a pinch of salt if desired.
- Bring to just boiling to scald the milk.
- Remove pot from heat.
- Add vanilla if desired.
- Stir in couscous.
- Cover and let sit for five minutes.
Allow to cool to desired temperature and enjoy!
